I also found their company page interesting. The company (Kusser Granitwerke GmbH) is German and family owned for 3 generations.

I missed the builder's plate, put me in time-out...  Unsure

I was never "that" curious to lookup the manufacturer. I think it's cool they do a lot of business with Germany.
