Question Winter Meetup 2012 - 2013
We have occasional held a winter meetup to hang out somewhere away from Lagoon and discuss the upcoming season. I was curious if anyone would be interested in holding one again this winter. I know this is a little early, but I thought it would be okay to get the discussion rolling on it. It will most likely happen late January (either the 19th or 26th).

This discussion will focus on a few things:
  • Who's coming
  • Where to hold it
  • What activity or activities to do at the meetup

I was thinking this would be the perfect time to discuss next year's menu and potluck dates.

Let me know what you guys think. Happy

We have held this at someones house before and just limited the party to the main party goers. We went to Toads one time.

If we had a party room we could plan a few hours of food and games. Phase 10 has been a big hit. We could come up with a couple of games.

Yes, I will leave the beers at home. Smile

HAHA I dont think Toad allows alcohol anyways.

Im totally in though & we could also do it at Nicklecade that is a fun place. I would say also that like everyone pitch in say like 20 bucks or we would figure out the cost and then rent a shuttle bus and go down to Las Vegas as go to the Adventure Dome and ride the other coasters down there too. They also have Game Works which is an arcade and a lot of other arcade too at a lot of the hotels and stuff for people of ALL ages to do.

Usually younger kids don't usually go to the potlucks by them self and go with the family. We could do a weekend thing leave Friday afternoon after people are out of school or do it during the holiday brake sometime so school isnt an issue. I know there is hotels like the Orleans that you can get like 25 dollar rooms a night. Now as far as everyone chipping in that could be just for to rent the shuttle bus or for room and food then of course it might be higher a person. I know also a lot of hotels give a group discount and same for doing activities.

I don't know what other places are open in the winter months or what other ideas people have cause im just throwing out ideas too.

I just think the at some point that we need to do something like that and plane a trip to another park and that one is fairly close. We could even all get LIF shirts to wear to these activities or potlucks as free advertising and get more people to join.

We could do all three! Toads, Boondocks AND Adventure Dome in Las Vegas (which I've never been to but been to Vegas many times....WHAT was I thinking!?)

It could be a long winter. The more fun we have, the faster April will get here Wink

Boondock's has utterly terrible food! The Fresh Dough Pizza at Toads was good. Smile
