Frightmares 2012
Anyone heard if Lagoon is planning anything new for Frightmares this year? If you have heard rumors, feel free to share them. I haven't heard anything. I'm wondering if Psycho Dave's will show up in a new location or if Lagoon is done with it.

Backlot has 4 spiders and i see Deception is gone from the list of haunted houses, fun of fear, lockdown, backlot and nightwalk are listed. Also dont see Physco Daves's anywhere on the list tho.

I didn't even think to check Lagoon's site. Thanks for the info on that. I guess I will have some updating to do on the Frightmares page. So, anyone sad that Psycho Dave's may not be there this year?

sadly, yes.... the camouflage guy against the wall ACTUALLY startled us last year! We honestly didn't see him until he moved...it was soooo awesome!

Also sad to say, he was far better than most of the higher-end attractions/actors (cough-night walk-cough) Wink

RE: Frightmares 2012
*sigh* I hope they teach their actors how to better act, and to have the people walk through at a slower pace, so it doesn't feel like a heard of cattle going through. And hopefully Backlot has a better floorplan than Nightwalk. Also, would it kill to have a maze? As my memory recalls, there isn't a maze. Mazes are fun!

I wonder why they are taking out Deception? To me, that was one of the better haunts there. Hopefully Backlot lives up to what it's replacing, because it has two sets of shoes to fill, as well as bring back up the scare level since Nightwalk, to me, failed.

Does anyone have any information on what Backlot is supposed to be, exactly?

I would assume Backlot will have a horror movie theme or maybe even use famous movie monsters.

I doubt that will ever happen because their seems to be this mentality at Lagoon to push as many people through the haunted houses as possible even if it hurts the experience. I realize they get some long lines, but they really need to rethink the spacing of the people going through the houses.

RE: Frightmares 2012
Hmm. Not happy with lagoon this year about frightmares. They removed phsyco daves, which was actually REALLY good after they completely re did it. I also really liked deception. I liked the detail that went in to it. Lockdown looks like it was just thrown together with what lagoon could find cheap. And nightwalk had alright themeing but vampires don't scare me. I really liked fun house of fear last year though. So I'm glad lagoon decided to keep it.

THIRD YEAR And COUNTING ON LIF! Smile
