Animal Cruelty Protest....
I drove past Lagoon this morning and out on Lagoon drive there were a very small group of protestors on Lagoon Drive on the freeway side holding up signs of free the animals and murderers and other wacko sayings. I just think these people need to wise up and do some research instead of blindly protesting Lagoon.

Is it wrong of me to want them to sell the animals to make room for a mine car dark ride? Imagine the weekly revenue that will be available for park renovations and new rides if Lagoon didn't have a food bill for the animals!

The animals have been there since I've been going in the '70's. Although I'd miss seeing them on the train ride, I think you're right. I miss the PV railroad and I think WK train is a staple of the family rides, but we need some changes here.

There are Elk and Byson that can only be viewed from the Lagoon Trail. I believe the Elk and Byson were also viewable from the Stage Coach ride??

I agree, The Wild Kingdom Train is awesome! Too bad Lagoon didn't incorporate more of PV and the North End of the park into the WK track layout. Frown

Maybe they could replace the REAL animals with animatronic ones!

I agree the animals need to be sold and the land better utilized.

Then we would see protests demanding that Lagoon treat the animatronic animals better or send them off to some animatronic sanctuary. Tongue

Geese!

Maybe we should go with non-animal-resemblance-animatronic-animals!

I personally would LOVE to see this along the WK train! ha! ha! ha! Laugh
