Thumbs Up Awesome Lagoon Employees
I thought it might be nice to start a thread where we can recognize those employees at Lagoon who go the extra mile. Employees can make or break a person's visit to the park, and I often think people usually focus on the bad experiences over the good ones. If you see an employee on the park going out of their way to improving your day, I encourage you to tell us about it by replying to this thread.

Keep in mind that Lagoon does allow for recognition at Guest Services as well. Before you leave the park, you should always stop by Guest Services and feel out a compliment form to recognize the employee when you see one of them doing an excellent job. While posting here on Lagoon Is Fun is nice, you will have a much better impact by telling Lagoon personally. For those of you who may not remember to stop by Guest Services, you can always email Lagoon and tell them about their great employee through their Guest Relations email account: guest@lagoonpark.com.

I want to start this thread off by recognizing the employee driving the train Monday evening. My wife and I passed by the Wild Kingdom Train around 5:30 p.m., and I noticed him standing at the exit gate thanking everyone for riding the train. I thought it was a nice gesture for him to thank everyone as they were leaving the ride. We ended up hanging around the area while my wife took some photos when I watched him smile and wave at all the park guests waiting at the train crossing while he drove the train past. Every time I saw him interacting with park guests, he had a big smile and genuinely seemed to be enjoying himself.

I failed to get his name, but my wife tried to get a photo of him waving at the train crossing. Unfortunately, she has terrible timing because he turned and waved the other way right as she took the picture. Either way, you can still see his smile as he waves at the guests on the other side of the track. I think it's great that Lagoon has employees like this who use small things like smiling and interacting with the guests to brighten everyone's day!

I really like this picture better than if he would have been facing you... this one looks more genuine! It's more of an action shot than a portrait...plus it portrays HOW/WHY he is an awesome Lagoon employee...

Nice job Kare!

When we were boarding and riding Tidal Wave, the ride operator was really getting into it, surprising and humoring guests as they boarded the ride and participating in the "screaming competition" that always occurs during the ride. And he added a couple of smart remarks to some of the riders as they exited as well, it was cool to see such an engaged Lagoon employee!

I agree. I have a lot of memories as a kid of employees that you could tell were having fun. They talked to the guests and joked around, but without being obnoxious or diverting their attention from their duties. These kinds of employees seem to be harder to find in recent years.

For the past few times I have been to Lagoon, I always find this one employee who always makes the ride interesting whichever one he works at. He might have been the one on Tidal Wave since I heard he was there as well, but I didn't go on Tidal Wave that day.
His name is Connor, and I found him two times on two different days. Once working Skycoaster and the other working TOTC. Every time, he was interacting so well that I want to see him every time I go to Lagoon. He really makes my experience a good one at Lagoon.

That name does sound like a match now that I think of the guy. I think we must start a fan page for Connor T on LIF!
