Lagoon is currently running a billboard design contest for anyone interested in designing a Frightmares billboard to win all-day passes to Lagoon this fall. Here are the details found on Lagoon's Facebook Page:

Lagoon Wrote:CONTEST RULES
Actual size of Final Billboard is 48' x 14'.

Artwork should be set up 48" x 14" (1 inch = 1 foot) or can also be set up at 38.4" x 11.2"

All colors/artwork need to be converted to CMYK (no RGB)

Art needs to be 133 line screen.

Photos need to be high resolution – 300 dpi.

All type fonts need to be outlined.

Frightmares Logo Art and Lagoon Logo must be part of the final design.

Logos will be provided.

Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Quark Xpress preferred.

Frightmares billboard art needs to be highly visible.

Please use as few words as possible.

All art, fonts, photos, logos, etc., need to be submitted to Lagoon if your art wins.

Once submitted, Lagoon will retain all rights.

Contest ends August 18, 2012.

No monetary value.

Prize will be six (6) Regular Single Day Passports for 2012 Frightmares.

It will be interesting to see what people come up with for the contest and who the winner will be. Any Lagoon Is Fun Lagoonatics planning on participating?

I also noticed that the rules do not specifically state how to submit the banner once designed. Is it emailed to Lagoon, uploaded to Facebook, or submitted via their website? I have no idea.

Finally, I had to chuckle when I saw the graphic associated with the billboard contest. Here is a section of a screen capture from Lagoon's page. Those of you familiar with the site will quickly spot what I saw:

I don't think I qualified because the image is not 48' x 14'.

Its really so funny and interesting, but i have no such a picture which can be chosen for billboard, one more thing aftre reading the condition i cant think that i can compete. sorry............

Which condition bars you from competing exactly? I mean besides the fact that it ended last fall.

I don't know. Bots are getting smarter. Some day we may accidentally vote one into a government office. :|
