Hey guys, longtime LIF lurker here (I mean, since the beginning; had another username but forgot what it was). Anyways, I dunno if you've seen, but the popular site Westcoaster has done a really good update on lagoon (and it was really positive!)

Though they make fun of the park for having so many wordy signs, they bring up a fact that I've never realized before: Lagoon has A LOT of info signs that seem pretty unnecessary in comparison to other parks. Does anyone know if there is a reason for having so many signs? Insurance requirement? Liability? Or just someone thinking that the general public really cares haha?

One personal complaint first. Westcoaster's site has always bothered me a little by the way it's set up to display only 3 - 4 photos per page. It seems like it takes forever to just view a whole file, so I hardly every check that site out....Anyway that being said, I really enjoyed their update on Lagoon. I never gave much thought to all the signs that are posted around the park. Their continuous comments about them cracked me up!...and that one to see what might be posted at the bathrooms...over the top! They really seemed quite taken by Wicked and Jet Star 2 since they have more photos of them than anything else, which is very understandible since Wicked still remains one of a kind and most people of this new generation, in this country anyway, have no idea what a Jet Star coaster even is. Loved the only 2 but really nice shots of Fire Dragon and there are some good ones of Roller Coaster as well.

I do not know the exact reason for all signs but I have no problem with them, my wife even painted many of them a few years back. But I don't know what he has a problem with them.

While most of his comments were funny some were offensive, by that I'm in no way gonna tell him to take them down because he can say what he wants but there were a couple I did not car for.

Some of them offenseive?? About half of them. Anyway, they have signs there for inscurance purposes. If they didnt have them there the state wouldnt let them be open.

Yeah, I don't know why the signs bothered him so much. It's not like they're unavoidable.

Personally I don't think he read any of them over just seeing them considering all the signs that are attached on a que line fence say the same thing, some of the saftey warnings change, but those are stuck on and pictures. I wonder if he does photo updates for cities and complains about all the speed signs, stop signs, business signs, and dang it all the stores have a welcome sign, crazy.

i agree just looked at his page i think the guys a jackass the signs have never bothered me in fact i usually read them on a busy day when the lines are long, sounds like he just hates information

yeah, I agree with coaster maniac. You have to understand the humor of the site. I've been following their Disneyland and California Adventure updates for YEARS. Everything is in jest. Really, what happens with their updates is they find something unusual and poke fun at it. Sometimes they beat a dead horse, but that's why I love it.

No need to get upset with them, They're just doing their job. :-)

I dont mind the signs. But, I am a Bishop and do not him making fun of the mormons like that.
