You see, the problem with that is it's a good idea.

I agree, they really need to do more up there, all the time. maybe even set it up like its an actual town, with people who live there that can interact with the guests, then some dirty rotten *outlaw* can roll in on his horse and stir up a bit of trouble with the sheriff????

Dave's Place!
Well, I think I'd rather see the Junkyard back than just a dumb straw maze. If they have to get rid of one or the other, I say scrap the straw maze and put Dave's place over there where that was!

You probably think that, but the reason lagoon brought back the straw maze is for another thing for the kids. The children don't go through haunted houses. And before last year, frightmares didn't have too many things for families with really small kids to enjoy. Its kinda actually smart for lagoon to keep the straw maze and spook a boo. Them not bringing back to junkyard is a different story.

Well... I bet some young kids would go through the haunted houses, but yeah, maybe most won't. And so I guess you're saying that the straw maze is there to provide a balance. That makes sense. But it truely is more boring....

Boring?? I actually like the straw maze. But I have a large group of small kids. The actors in it are usually pretty good and the activities like coloring and stuff makes it a nice slow stroll with them. I was pretty happy when they brought it back.

Psycho Dave's was kinda cool but if they remove it nothing says that something better won't come back to take its place. Just like the straw maze was removed cause it was lame, it returned as an actual activity that I look forward to. It might be 2 or 3 years but so what.

Just because they don't do entertainment during the summer there, does not mean that some form of entertainment can be set up there during frightmares. There are a lot of parks around the US that does old western style walkthroughs and shows. In my personal opinion Lagoon has always thought too small when it comes to frightmares and themes; you should be immersed in the experience, not just enter and exit through it. Wink

I disagree. I think Lagoon has always done a good job at Frightmares. Even though I do find the haunted houses really not that scary, but they are fun. I really think Lagoon creates a good haunted atmosphere in October.

On the subject of PV. I have never heard a story about the carriage barn being haunted but other buildings yes. I would not put a haunted walk through in the Carriage Barn, but convert the Dern over to a Haunted walk through, even though that might make the man with a top hat that haunts it mad. But something back in PV would be good.
On the pv haunt, if they could drain rattle snake and make that a walk through down the dried up river would be cool, I doubt the work involved in that would make it worth it, but none the less it would be cool.
