Hey, that's a great idea! It worked for Fire Dragon (I was even present for the blessed event) so it should certainly work for the Rocket.
(Why did we think of it at the time when he had it there at that potuck?)

The story I heard about the south end of the park was that when Fire Dragon was installed they crushed a drain pipe. They may have been attempting to fix that when they disassembled it once. The drain down there never worked right. When the trash compactor was where spider is now the drain would back up and create a pond after a good rain storm. The garbage guys would dump blocks and blocks of dry ice in it when there were big parties using dry ice to keep things cool. There would be so much fog down there. LOL

Because we know how tall the Ride System is and the Crown.

I have heard some confirmations, but none of it was from any official source. I keep telling myself I need to stop by the park and take a look because it would not be that hard to tell if the ride was gone from the road.
Bumping this thread for the start of 'What Will Be For 2013!'
As most of us know, there is the highly anticipated "mega coaster" that Lagoon might be getting. Also with the rumored location of it being in the north field, and taking up the old Top E. location. For me, I believe it is safe to say it won't be until 2014, as others have said earlier. I think they would have started some more land clearing and maybe some actual construction (concrete floors and footing, etc) by now. Since they haven't, I say 2014 for the coaster.
So that leaves 2013 open for a new ride. I do remember some talk somewhere of Lagoon staying with Zamplera and getting a Giant Discovery, and with it being in PV. I do remember seeing work done with piping near the Telephone Museum. Could this just be maitenence, or some elecrtical wiring being done early for the new location for a Giant Discovery? Who knows?
Lets not limit ourselves to thinking it will be a Gaint Discovery, or that PV will be the location for next years ride. What are rumors you had heard? What do you speculate next years ride will be? I want to know.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just had some non-ride additions this year in anticipation of something bigger in 2014. I wouldn't mind it either. Air Race was a great addition this year, but many areas remain unused or under-prioritized.
Lagoon Music Theatre for example. I don't particularly go to Lagoon to watch the shows, personally, but I know they are a big draw and I think it adds variety to your options. I'd like to see Lagoon Music Theatre refurbished or even replaced with something awesome. Not sure what. I can't imagine there will be much need for the stage though since the trend is for more popular stuff and the shows at that theater generally brought in an older demographic which is getting smaller every year. I mean, if they focus on the more popular stuff or mix older songs in with the new, why do you need more than one or two shows? Now if they took a risk, changed things up and had one act plays or something, that would be different.
Pioneer Village has been in need of some new life for years now. A Giant Discovery would be fun, but I would rather have it somewhere else. It just doesn't fit in with the rest of PV, no matter how much of an "old west theme" you give it.
