Lagoon has stated on their operating calendar that "NO FIREWORKS" on July 4th or 24th. This will now be 3 years in a row that they will not do a firework show.

Who are the people most upset with this decision??

The freeloaders that park along park drive causing a traffic hazard and that there will not be any fireworks.

At Cedar Point, the Independence Day Fireworks are not just for the Guests of Cedar Point, but those who live in Sandusky, Port Clinton, Port Huron, etc. and the THOUSANDS of Boaters around the Peninsula.

I think its ridiculous that they are not doing fireworks again this year.

Agreed!

Personally I could care less if Lagoon does fireworks or not. It costs a lot of money to put on the show, plus the risk of fire for the area. Also I agree with the fact of all the people parking on lagoon way being a safety hazard, plus the people driving by on the freeways watching the show instead of the road. I would rather see Lagoon put the money towards new entertainment shows that will be seen for more than a few minutes in a couple of nights. If people want to see fireworks then go see them at every city that puts them on, or just look out your window and watch your neighbors try and burn your house down with the new aerials that they bought because of the new law. (BTW I am glad for the new law, I support it greatly).

I know huh? I have enjoyed the bigger and better fireworks in the neighborhood this year. I didn't even hear the firetrucks tonight.

It's "that" time of the year again guys...topic bump.... So I believe this is the 4th year without Lagoon fireworks? Some care, some don't.


The neighborhood aerials are simply AMAZING! I can stand in my yard and see a firework show that looks pretty dang close to professional!
