Lightning Falls Mat Coaster Slide (HD POV) Seven Peaks SLC (Formally Raging Waters)
This is a HD POV of Lightning Falls at Seven Peaks Salt Lake (Formally Raging Waters).
This was filmed using my GoPro and helmet mount using the GoPros WaterProof Backing. That is why you hardly hear any sounds. I go back and record with my Sony TX5 when I get a special gopro attachment and add a little mode where I can attach any camera to my GoPro mounts.

That slide looks like it could be fun. I noticed the employee sitting at the bottom of the first drop and a walkway. Do they have problems getting people over the hill?

Yes if you dont make it its ncause they arnt using the mat right lol. If you pull the mat up to your chin it creates less friction. Alot of people leave the mat fluchj against the slide which creates a suction and they get stuck at the top and have to push there way over or they fall back down to the bottom then they exit out there. You even see big guys like you not even make it over cause they are holding the mat right.
I get over really goon and even catch air when I choose too. The highest air I can catch so far is about 5 ft of air and you just land on the back side of the slide basically like if you were going of a dirt jump on a bike you land on the other side as a landing ramp. Some people I have seen catch air and do barrel rolls and even one did a back flip. Im not that crazy lol. They tell you not to catch air but people do it anyways sometimes on accident. It mainly only matters if a supervisor or manager comes over if they see you catch air they kick you off the slide for the day. I hear Seven Peaks is more stricter and one guy almost got his pass taken away lol. So you just watch out for them and if you see then you dont catch air. The lifeguards dont care too much.

It should be Noted that this Slide was Originally Built in 1993 and was re-marketed about 10 years ago as a New "Water Coaster" Slide. I do love the new Paint on the Slides! I don't remember seeing any new paint 2 weeks before they opened. Are all of them Repainted or just some?
No. 1 Steel Coaster: Maverick, Cedar Point
No. 1 Wood Coaster: The Beast, Kings Island

These slides are some of the scariest I've ever been on. I think every park should have them. I noticed they got rid of some of the wooden structures that hold up the slides and walkways. It's about time! The nails coming out of the wood always freaked me out. I also noticed they got rid of the safety pole that use to block riders from running and and jumping to the main drop.
BTW, this video does not do justice as to how large and scary these drops are. They are so steep that your whole body rises off of the mats.
Steel: Maverick - Cedar Point
Wood: The Voyage - Holiday World

All of the slides are painted and renamed! but on the map of the park it still has the Raging Waters logo and the name of the old slides. I dont know if their planning on redoing this or now. They were doing construction at the food stand.
Yes mwoods244 you are correct. I will do an offride version to to show how tall and steep they are.
Here is when it was Raging Waters and some guy does a barrel roll by catching air on this slide.
Here is a girl catching air!
This is so fun to do I love doing this but not brave enough to do tricks yet lol.
