RE: Dual Loading Station on Jet Star
I was VERY happy to see that the duel loading station has now become a reality. THANK YOU LAGOON! I'm sure it will help speed up loading times on more crowded days. Yesterday when rode it with Spencer, Greg, John and Harvy (thanks guys for going a second time so we could include Greg) they were only utilizeing just the single loading option. I can't wait to see it operate at full capacity and how it will effect the loading times. With all the new hardware on this ride there's no excuse now why it can't run as efficiently as it once did in the 70's and 80's.
(The new paint on the track in the loading station is now making all the track on the rest of the ride look a little dull. lol)

Question Increase In Rider Capacity
[Image: normal_dualload.jpg]

I like the idea of the dual-loading station on Jet Star 2, but I wonder if it will really improve rider capacity on the ride. After going to Lagoon multiple times, I have only seen the second loading platform in use once. During that time, the employees were sending cars at the same rate they were last year. I thought the station upgrade was supposed to increase rider capacity, but if they do not place multiple cars on the lift, they cannot increase capacity no matter how many loading platforms they have.

Is Lagoon still worried about putting two cars on the lift even with the improved anti-rollbacks? Has anyone seen the dual-load station put to good use with them sending cars as quickly as possible? I'm curious because I haven't really seen an improvement to rider capacity with the new station yet. I'd really love to see this coaster's capacity go back up to what it used to be years ago. Thumbs Up!

They added another PLC room it looks like too with the new station. I still am not a fan of the dual loading station but if it can increase dispatch times and give the ride new life then it will be good. But I don't like the look of it. I guess I'm just old school when it comes to Jet Star

RE: Jet Star 2 Discussion
Now that we have seen Jet Star 2 running with a dual-loading station for the whole season, I am curious what you guys think about it. Do you think it improved loading and dispatch times, operated about the same, or made loading and dispatch times worse?

I don't think they've used the dual loading gate much at all? Maybe Blaine or Sid noticed them using it...
