Davis County Clipper - Bombora coaster creating lots of interest for Lagoon opening
The Davis County Clipper had an article recently discussing much of what we already know about Lagoon's new coaster, but the author did bring up a few points that revealed some additional information about Lagoon's new ride and the upcoming season. I'd like to highlight those items here:
The length of the new coaster will be 1,040 feet long.
This coaster was designed by Lagoon much like Wicked was. I don't remember if that is something we had already discussed or not, but here is the info on that:
Quote:“This is unique to Lagoon. We basically designed it,” he said. “Our staff park engineer has made roller coasters throughout his career, worked for one of the major coaster manufacturers. He has been a part of some of the really big coasters produced around the world.”
Finally, the article reveals that Lagoon plans to hold some commemorative events later this season to celebrate 125 years! I wonder what plans they have in store. It will be interesting to see how this year shapes up.

The one I made on No Limits was 1009 feet long so pretty close.
75 Roller Coasters, 2 Alpine Coasters, and counting!

It also mentions last years visitor total. I don't think that has been included in any other articles so far.
