RE: Hi Striker
Does anybody have any info or at least memories of the old Hi-Striker? Wasn't it in the same location?

RE: Hi Striker
I think these new models that light up and have digital screens don't just quite catch the imagination as old bell strikers. More people would do it with the old look I think. The new version also confuses some people. The huge one at BGE is very poplular.

I don't even remember the old one. I would be interested in hearing about it as well. Smile

RE: Hi Striker
i remeber working it before they got it fixed. i was a 16 year old girl and i would jump on the cord and it would put the score high up there, then i would challenge men to beat me. i actually got really good at swinging the mallet and stepping on the cord at the same time, so i could "prove" i could do it. i could get men to play many many times because they were so frusterated that they got beaten by a girl.
unfortunitly, the games department got that little glitch fixed Fail

RE: Hi Striker
Haha thats funny, At wacky wire I hold down the peddle so it doesn't beep and people think im really good or its easy so they play. Also on Bowler Roller or Easy Does It I would unscrew the black ball on the other end a little bit so that the bowling ball would hit against it ans slow it down so I could do it every time and prove I could do it lol. Im pretty good at that game anyways but just when I was showing people I wanted to make sure that I could get it every time. also on High Roller I would work that and I got good where I could get 900,000 many time lol. Don from games hates it when I come as a guest and play the games cause im pretty good and can win the jumbo and large prizes. Like on bowler Roller or Easy does it I can usually get the Jumbo in about 7 bucks or so lol.

RE: Hi Striker
I do remember the old Hi-striker game or what ever the name of it was. I remember it being in the north part of the park. It very well could of been close to the spot the game is in now. It seems that it was located between the midway gardens and the north fountain. I am also thinking it was by the Hammer ride which was just north of the Penny Arcade (Game Time). It might have been in different locations over the years. I loved watching the game to see if the people could make the bell ring.

I always joke now that when I step on a scale to weigh my self that I am "going to ring the bell". Spinning Chair

RE: Hi Striker
I recall an old hammer and bell game in the exact location that Hi-Striker is in now. I am not sure if Lagoon used the Hi-Striker name previously or not. It is possible that old game also moved around as Lagoon expanded the midway and attractions, but I am not aware of any previous locations at this time.
