The NoLimits contests are always a lot of fun, so I would like to let everyone know that I am contemplating another contest this summer. Before I decide to pursue this idea, though, I am curious how many of you would be interested in particpating. Please reply and let me know.

I think this is a great idea. I'd love to try my hand at participating in this one. My design for the most recent one got out of hand with more custom inversions and elements than I was willing to share with the world.....well not just yet anyway....sorry.
If your looking for a theme for the summer or a future contest here's an idea. Since Sid claims all the recent upgrades to Jet Star 2 will add at least another 10 years to it's life, it doesn't really make sense to focus on a replacement for it just yet. (Hey but I'm always game). I know there was already a contest for a race theme coaster to replace the Top Eleminator Dragsters, but things have changed since then. I propose we hold a contest pertaining to what we do know about the 2013/2014 mega coaster.
1 - It must be a Steel Design (since we don't know what type it will be just yet, anything is fair game...I guess)
2 - It must use a chain lift.
3 - The height limit must be between 200-225ft
4 - It must have inversions. That article, or was it a link, someone posted saying something about Dal trying to computate the Corkscrew element suggest that at least one of the inversions should be a Corkscrew.
5 - Since Dal said this would be a coaster design never before been attempted, which could mean just about anything, how about we include that the ride must perform some element or inversion or stunt NOT found on ANY other real coaster on the planet. Of course it still must meet the safety standards of the No Limits program.
6 - The site should be the old Top Eleminator Dragster pad and the whole north field...I would guess.
Did I leave anything out?
Are the lions Lagoon aquired from the capitol still supposed to be part of the themeing??
Like I said this is just a suggestion and needs to remain open for tweeking to whatever new information we hear. What do you think? Is it too early for something like this?
Whatever the summer contest ends up being please keep the template simple. All we need are the boundries. Trees and support footings lag my computer and are not necessary. I will just delete all them and submit my entry without them.

Sorry Nick, with all do respect, I think you're very knowledgeable and talented, Barnstormer was absolutely beautiful! (some of the best promo and themeing I've seen) Bottom line though, I just couldn't bring myself to vote for a recreation of an existing ride despite any height variances, when it could have been so much more had it been an original coaster design. Please forgive me.

Summers are kinda hazy for me, I drop of the electronic face of the earth for 12 weeks. If a contest would be to occur, it would have to be late in the summer or I would be unable to participate.

I am a River guide for a boys camp in Wyoming. The trips last about one week long and there are about 10 trips. The other 2 weeks are for noobie training and getting ready. 12 weeks.
Should I change my name to "That Wyoming Guy" if "Kid" is too confusing?
