Don't miss the Fireworks that Lagoon puts on for the 4th of July.  If you are interested the fireworks are fired from the north end of the grass field behind Samurai.  For a great view of the fireworks be on the north end of the park at dusk.

The first month of our three month long photo gallery contest is now over!  We have 17 great entries so far and I am looking forward to more entries to come.  Those of you who have not entered into the contest only have two months left!  Yes it seems like a long time but time does fly when you are having fun.  Lagoon is open so that means all of you are having a blast!

Today, Saturday, June 14, 2008, Lagoon lost power for about an hour after a transformer in the park's substation exploded causing a small electrical fire, resulting in many Evacuations of Stalled Rides. No one was Injured, and Park Operations returned to normal at about 5:00pm.

Four riders were sent to the hospital after riding Lagoon's Jet Star 2.  They were injured when the ride stopped suddenly.  The injuries included neck pain and a lip that needed to be stitched.
